Growing up waffles were a Special Occasion. Christmas Day and maybe Thanksgiving, but with this recipe for Apple Cinnamon Waffles you don’t have to wait for a holiday to make them. Bust out the waffle iron this weekend and enjoy not only how delicious these waffles are, but how easy they are to make and clean up!

Before we get to the recipe there are a few things you should know.

  • Know your waffle iron! Do you need to spray it first and does it light up or ding when the waffle is done are just a couple of things you should know before you start ladling the batter.
  • Make sure you warm your milk and melt your butter! This helps the buttery flavor to reach every bite of your waffles and honestly makes the whisking so. much. easier. Just a minute or two in your microwave will be plenty.
  • Apple Butter is not a butter. It is more like a jam or jelly so don’t try to replace it with something like Almond Butter. If you don’t have Apple Butter try a nice marmalade or jam from your grocery store (or go without it completely).

What are your thoughts? Did you make it? How did it go? Teach us what you learned in the comments!
